The program was held under the theme “𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐲,” reflecting the university’s commitment to inclusive and quality education. The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Prof. Dr. Abdur Rab, Vice-Chancellor of IUBAT; Prof. Selina Nargis, Treasurer and Director of Administration, IUBAT; Prof. Dr. Md. Mahmudur Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor of IUBAT; Prof. Dr. Momtazur Rahman, Registrar of IUBAT, and Brig Gen Md Zahid Hossain, PhD (Retd), Controller of Examinations. They were joined by deans, department chairs, faculty members, students, and guardians.
The program featured a presentation highlighting IUBAT’s journey, followed by a tribute to the Founder. The session continued with a welcome address by Prof. Dr. Bishwajit Saha, Convener of the Scholars’ Day Program. Several faculty members, including Prof. Dr. Md. Ismail Hossain, Chair, College of Agricultural Sciences; Prof. Dr. Mozaffar Alam Chowdhury, Dean, IUBAT Business School; Prof. Dr. Md. Monirul Islam, Chair, Department of Civil Engineering; Prof. Dr. Utpal Kanti Das, Chair, Department of CSE and Dean, ISCSE; Prof. Dr. Raton Kumar Nondy, Chair, Department of EEE; Prof. Dr. Golam Rasul, Chair, Department of Economics; Prof. ATM Sirajul Alam, Chair, English and Modern Languages; Prof. Dr. Dewan Muhammad Nuruzzaman, Chair, Department of Mechanical Engineering; Prof. Dr. Sandra Rumi Madhu, Chair, College of Nursing; Prof. Dr. Nazmul Huda, Chair, Public Health; and Prof. Dr. Badrudduza Talukder, Chair, College of THM, delivered speeches highlighting the importance of academic dedication and achievement.
A significant part of the program was dedicated to student recognition. This year, more than 400 scholars were honored for their outstanding academic performance and awarded certificates and financial awards in recognition of their achievements.
The event also included experience-sharing sessions by students and guardians, reflecting on the importance of such recognition and the support provided by the university.
The concluding session featured speeches by Prof. Selina Nargis, Treasurer and Director of Administration, and Prof. Dr. Momtazur Rahman, Registrar of IUBAT. This was followed by the Presidential Speech by Prof. Dr. Abdur Rab, Vice-Chancellor of the IUBAT, and a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Rizna Nahary, Deputy Registrar of IUBAT. The program ended with a certificate distribution session and a cultural performance organized by IUBAT Krishnochura.
“IUBAT Scholars’ Day 2026” concluded successfully, reinforcing the university’s dedication to promoting academic excellence, recognizing merit, and supporting students in their educational journey.
